is it possible to make a fountain out of an old sink and faucet.?
I would like to give a sink and faucet the appearance of having plumbing for display purposes. Is it possible to use a fountain mechanism to create that effect. I'd like to be able to turn a handle and have the water flow, then drain back down into a basin to be pumped through continuously if left on. but able to be shut off by simply turning the handle back to the off position.
Yes it's possible w/a delivery (demand) water pump similar to those here:

It may be less expensive to buy a 12vdc RV pump but then you'll need a car battery or 120vac/12vdc converter.
Won't hurt to check w/the pump mfg to insure your no flow (valve closed) time won't hurt the pump.
Install a filter on the pump suction line and you should be good to go...
