Reliance Industries Limited Solar Group Bags Photovoltaic Qualification
The Reliance Solar Group has been successful in obtaining a certification for its Photovoltaic (PV) modules from TÜV Rheinland Japan Ltd. Their PV modules have qualified for the IEC 61215 certification as well as have been safety tested to be certified with the IEC 61730. The modules tested were RS120, RS125, RS130, RS160, RS165, RS170, RS175, RS180, RS185, RS190, RS195, RS200, RS205, RS210, RS215, RS220, RS24250, RS24255 and RS24260. There are two major aspects to the tests conducted. First, selected samples are tested to verify compliance with relevant standards and requirements at the accredited laboratory of TÜV Rheinland Japan Ltd. Next, periodic quality and production control tests are performed by TÜV experts at the manufacturing sites. These tests and certifications have further confirmed the reliability of the products offered by the Reliance Group.
The RS170 Wp and the RS125 Wp have earned the certification as they are high in efficiency due to the use of highly efficient cells, acid texturised solar cells, fine silver grid lines, a fully covered back surface field along with DRAWING AND DIMENSIONS Optimized anti reflective coating on cells. The B One side textured, tempered glass increases light absorption as well as efficiency. The RS170 Wp as well as the RS125 Wp have a Tight tolerance in power ± 3%. They are highly reliable as they have a maximum system voltage of 1000V, a high corrosion resistant frame, a lower slope of module frame, proven Glass /EVA/Backsheet encapsulation technology, a three layered structured backsheet, a double sided polyurethane tape for frame fixing, a high tensile structure of frame and a universal frame which can be mounted anywhere. The RS170 Wp as well as the RS125 Wp ensures safety as they have a weather proof junction box with bounced clips, highly reliable bypass diodes, a lock mechanism equipped connectors and high current rated insulated cables.
TÜV Rheinland Japan Ltd. conducts tests to assess whether an organization is fulfilling the requirements specified by the relevant standard and issues certificates after a thorough inspection. The certificates earned by the Reliance Solar Group are valid for the next 5 years. The TÜV Rheinland Group continues to conduct tests at the manufacturer’s production facility at regular intervals to ensure that the certified products correspond to the samples tested and continue to deserve the certification. The IEC certification of the products offered by the Reliance solar Group is recognized by a large number of countries around the world and also guarantees that the buyer can rely on the quality of the product.
The IEC 61215 qualification means an examination has been conducted on all the parameters which can be responsible for the ageing of PV modules. The PV modules are tested with artificial loads like sunlight including UV rays, change of climate and mechanical loads of hail, wind suction and wind pressure. The PV modules pass the tests if after the introduction to the loads no visual defects are detected and the output power has not or slightly degraded from its initial value. The IEC 61215 qualification certificate by TÜV Rheinland Japan Ltd. has gained acceptance as the quality benchmark for crystalline PV modules. The certification is also required by national as well as international funding programs.
The certification of IEC 61730 means that the PV module has been tested for safety and has qualified the same. The tests assess whether the design of the PV module is such that it ensures safe electrical and mechanical operation throughout the expected lifetime of the product. The test sequences of the IEC 61730 are designed to correspond to the tests conducted for design qualification and type approval under the IEC 61215. Tests are conducted under various categories for safety like electric shock hazards, mechanical stress, environmental stress and general inspection. Apart from the basic tests, additional tests are conducted depending on the end-use application of the PV module which is categorized in classes A, B and C. The certification is awarded when tests are judged to be passed on the basis that there is no potential of electric shocks, fire and personal injury. The IEC 61730 comprises of tests that are part of the safety II class qualification.

did you notice Rossi's bike on the Grid at Qatar (MotoGp) it ...?
had a silver foil insulation cover on the tank, like they used in Caparossi's day to keep the fuel cold to produce more power when it goes into the cylinder...i thought that was outlawed....
hi Cadalora, Wiggysan is correct, the fuel can be cooled to 15 degrees below ambient temp.
But cant be kept cool on the grid. I will have to watch the video again. as i never noticed.
sample of the rules (to save you looking it up)
2.11.5 For the MotoGP race, no fuel on the motorcycle may be more than
fifteen degrees C (15°C) below ambient temperature. The use of any
device on the motorcycle to artificially decrease the temperature of the
fuel below ambient temperature is forbidden.
For the purposes of this regulation an Official Ambient Temperature will
be declared and displayed on the timekeeping monitors one hour before
the start of the MotoGP race. The team must comply with requests of
the Technical Director and Technical Scrutineers checking pre-race fuel
temperature, including opening the fuel tank cap if necessary. Fuel on
the motorcycle must comply with the temperature regulation no later
than 5 minutes before pit lane opens.
I can only assume if they need to cool it they are close to running out. chilling the fuel makes more. and 21 litres cold is maybe 25 litres warm.
Qatar wasnt that warm to start with. - 15 degrees ???
could be quite a difference.
well spotted.
