Recovery of 8904 Meters Great Wall at Huairou
Recovery project of Great Wall sections of Beijing has been taken place within Huairou District since seven years ago. Throughout the years, more than 8900 meters of Great Wall sections were restored and more than 29280000 RMB was invested for the recovery project. All these restored great wall has fulfill the basic requirement of open for public visit in coming future.
In fact, there are over 65.5 kilometers of great wall that spread within Huairou District of Beijing city. The great wall sections have been crossing through Huaibei, Yanqi, Bohai and Jiudu River, the four main towns at central southern part of Huairou District. The great wall at Huairou District was actually constructed in Northern Qi Empire. However, the entire conserved great wall within this area is generally the reconstructed great wall according to their original structure between Emperor Jiajing and Emperor Wanli of Ming Dynasty. Besides that, there are some sections of the great wall which were constructed within Emperor Yongle and Emperor Jingtai of Ming Dynasty. Majority of the great wall sections were constructed along the high hills for military purpose. Adjectives like magnificent, grand and impressive are all unable to describe the actual beauty of the great wall here.
Since year 1993, different levels of restoration projects and recovery projects have been taken place within Huairou District of Beijing. Throughout the seven years, a total of 8904 meters of damaged great walls as well as wild great walls have been restored and conserved. The restored sections of the great wall have included Huanghua Great Wall and Xishuiyu Great Wall at Jiudu River Town, Jiankou Great wall, Xiangshui Lake Great eall and Qinglong Gorge Great Wall at Huaibei Town.
This is absolutely very good news for tourists who possess great interest on the great wall tours of Beijing. Besides the common well known great wall sections within Beijing city like Badaling Great Wall, Mutianyu Great Wall, Simatai Great Wall and Juyongguan Great Wall, there are actually many wild great walls which worth for a visit. Of course great wall tour at wild great wall sections are more suitable for tourist who enjoy adventurous journey. It would be a tiring journey but of course the beauty of the surrounding is absolutely fantastic. While being able to witness the wisdom of ancient emperor of China for the construction of the great wall, you will also be able to climb up mountain and getting close to the genuine nature.
